DESCRIPTION
The Starter Motor, also known as the cranking motor, is an essential component of a truck's engine system. Its primary function is to start the engine by turning the flywheel so that the combustion process can begin. The starter motor consists of a powerful electric motor and a solenoid that engages the starter drive with the flywheel. When you turn your ignition key, an electrical signal is sent to the solenoid, which then activates the starter motor. The powerful electric motor quickly rotates and turns over the engine until it reaches its self-sustaining speed. Once this happens, you can release your key as your truck's engine continues to run on its own power. The Starter Motor plays a vital role in starting your truck's engine and should be maintained for optimal performance.
