DESCRIPTION
A piston kit with part number 3801267 is a set of components that includes the piston, piston rings, wrist pins, and circlips required to replace a worn or damaged piston in an engine. The piston is the cylindrical component that moves up and down inside the cylinder bore as fuel is burned in the combustion chamber, converting heat into mechanical energy to drive the crankshaft. Piston rings seal the gap between the piston and cylinder wall to prevent combustion gases from escaping and oil from entering. Wrist pins connect the connecting rod to the piston so that it can pivot and transfer force. Circlips hold everything together within its designated space in order to maintain stability of parts.
