DESCRIPTION
A piston ring set is a collection of rings that are placed around the piston of an internal combustion engine. The set, with part number 4089615, is designed to fit specific truck models and engines. Piston rings help to seal the combustion chamber, preventing gases from escaping during the compression and power strokes. They also help to regulate oil consumption by scraping excess oil off the cylinder walls. Over time, piston rings can become worn or damaged, leading to decreased engine performance and increased oil consumption.
