DESCRIPTION
A piston kit is a set of components that includes a piston, piston rings, and wrist pin. The piston is the cylindrical component that moves up and down inside the engine cylinder, compressing the air-fuel mixture and transferring energy to the crankshaft. The piston rings are thin metallic bands that fit around the circumference of the piston, sealing it against the cylinder walls to prevent combustion gases from escaping. The wrist pin, also known as a piston pin, connects the piston to the connecting rod. A complete replacement kit like part number 4309462 is necessary when one or more of these components are damaged or worn out beyond repair.
