DESCRIPTION
A piston kit is a component of the internal combustion engine found in trucks. It includes a piston, piston rings, and wrist pins that work together to transfer energy from the expanding gases of the combustion process to the crankshaft. The piston is a cylindrical component that moves up and down within the cylinder bore. The piston rings seal the gap between the cylinder wall and piston, preventing gas leakage during compression and combustion. The wrist pin connects the piston to the connecting rod, which in turn drives the crankshaft. A piston kit like part number 4955238 is designed specifically for use in certain truck models and ensures reliable operation of your engine.
