DESCRIPTION
The Piston Assembly Replacement is a component used in the engine of a truck that consists of a piston, piston rings, and wrist pin. It is responsible for transferring the energy created by combustion from the fuel and air mixture to the crankshaft. The piston moves up and down in the cylinder, compressing and expanding the air-fuel mixture as it does so. The rings provide a seal between the piston and cylinder wall to prevent loss of compression, while the wrist pin connects the piston to the connecting rod. Over time, pistons can become worn or damaged due to high mileage or poor maintenance practices. If this occurs, replacing them with new ones such as part number 5394538 can restore engine performance and efficiency.
