DESCRIPTION
A Lockplate Installer with part number 4919378 is a tool used to install lockplates in certain truck components such as the steering gear or brake caliper. The lockplate is a thin metal plate with tabs that are bent over to prevent bolts from loosening. Installing the lockplate can be difficult without the proper tool, and using an incorrect method can result in damage to the lockplate or improper installation which could compromise safety. The Lockplate Installer ensures that the lockplates are securely installed, preventing any potential safety hazards on the road.
