DESCRIPTION
An expansion plug, also known as a freeze plug or welch plug, is a small metal disc that is placed in the engine block of a truck to seal off unwanted holes. The expansion of the coolant when it freezes can cause damage to the engine block if there are no expansion plugs installed. These plugs are designed to pop out if the pressure inside the coolant system becomes too high, thereby preventing damage to the engine. The expansion plug with part number 3093782 is specifically designed for use in certain types of trucks and should be installed by a professional mechanic for optimal performance and safety.
