DESCRIPTION
An expansion plug with part number 3934553 is a small but important component found in the engine block of a truck. Its primary function is to seal off the openings left behind after the casting process, which creates space for coolant and oil to flow through. This plug, also known as a freeze plug or core plug, expands when heated to create an airtight seal that prevents leaks and maintains pressure within the engine block. Without this component, coolant and oil could leak out of the engine block causing serious damage over time.
