DESCRIPTION
The Barrel and Plunger is a crucial component of the fuel injection system in diesel engines. It comprises a cylindrical barrel with a plunger that moves up and down inside it to regulate the fuel flow into the engine. The plunger is connected to a camshaft that determines its motion, and as it moves upwards, it draws fuel from the injector nozzle into the barrel. When it moves downwards, it compresses this fuel before injecting it into the engine's combustion chamber. The precise control of this process ensures efficient combustion and optimal performance of the engine.
