DESCRIPTION
The Doser Pump with Part Number 5375352RX is a component of the exhaust aftertreatment system in diesel trucks. It is responsible for injecting a precise amount of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) into the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system to reduce harmful emissions. The doser pump receives signals from the engine control module (ECM) to determine the required amount of DEF to be injected, and it operates using compressed air or an electric motor. The pump includes a metering unit that measures and dispenses DEF accurately, ensuring that the SCR system functions effectively. A malfunctioning Doser Pump may result in increased emissions, reduced fuel efficiency and engine performance, which could lead to costly repairs.
