DESCRIPTION
The Tapered Knock-Out Ring (part number ST12425) is a truck component designed to facilitate the removal of trailer hubs from their axles. This ring is made from durable materials that can withstand heavy use and abuse. The tapered shape of the ring allows it to fit snugly around the outer edge of the hub, ensuring that it stays in place during use. When it's time to remove the hub, mechanics can use a hammer and punch to strike the center of the ring, causing it to push against the tapered edge of the hub and pop it loose from its axle. This process eliminates any need for prying or other potentially damaging methods, making it an efficient and cost-effective solution for routine maintenance tasks.
