DESCRIPTION
A Captive Washer Cap Screw, identified by part number 4022819, is a type of fastener commonly used in automotive and industrial applications. It consists of a threaded shaft with a cap that covers the head of the screw and a washer that is permanently attached to the underside of the cap. This design prevents the washer from falling off or getting lost during assembly or disassembly. The captive washer also provides additional support and distributes pressure evenly over the surface being fastened. Captive Washer Cap Screws are often used in high-stress applications where vibration or movement may cause traditional screws to loosen or fail over time.
