DESCRIPTION
A Drive Shaft, also known as a propeller shaft, is a component that transmits torque and rotation from the transmission to the differential in a vehicle. It consists of a long metal tube with universal joints at each end that allow for movement and flexibility. The drive shaft connects to the transmission output shaft on one end and to the differential input flange on the other end. As torque is applied from the engine, it flows through the drive shaft and spins both sets of wheels in unison. The part number for this specific drive shaft is 3897793.
