DESCRIPTION
The crankshaft pulley is a component of the engine that is responsible for transferring power from the crankshaft to other parts of the engine, such as the alternator, power steering pump, and air conditioning compressor. It is typically attached to the front end of the crankshaft and rotates with it. The pulley has grooves or ridges on its circumference that match those on other components, allowing belts to be wrapped around them and providing a means for transferring rotational energy.
