DESCRIPTION
A shutoff valve, also known as a fuel shut-off solenoid valve, is an essential component of a diesel engine that controls the flow of fuel to the engine. The shutoff valve is typically located on the fuel injection pump and is responsible for stopping or starting the flow of fuel to the engine. When the ignition switch is turned off, power is cut to the solenoid in the shutoff valve, closing it and stopping fuel flow. Conversely, when the ignition switch is turned on, power flows to the solenoid and opens up the valve allowing fuel to flow into the engine. The part number for this specific shutoff valve model is 3425796.
