DESCRIPTION
The Starter Solenoid, also known as a starter relay, is an electronic component in a truck's starting system that controls the flow of electricity between the battery and the starter motor. When the ignition key is turned, a small electrical current is sent to the solenoid which then activates an electromagnetic switch. This switch then sends a larger current to the starter motor which cranks the engine. The Starter Solenoid plays an important role in ensuring proper starting of a truck and preventing damage to other components in the starting system. Part Number 3004050 refers to a specific model of Starter Solenoid produced by a manufacturer for use in certain types of trucks.
