DESCRIPTION
A solenoid valve, identified by part number 3284523, is an electromechanical device used in the operation of a truck's engine. It functions as a switch that controls the flow of fluids or gases through the engine's system. The valve consists of a coil of wire that creates a magnetic field when electricity flows through it. This magnetic field attracts a metal plunger inside the valve, which opens or closes the passage for fluid or gas to flow through. Solenoid valves are commonly used in fuel injection systems to regulate fuel flow, in transmission systems to control fluid pressure and shift timing, and in air brake systems to control air pressure.
