DESCRIPTION
An ignition cable, also known as a spark plug wire or high tension lead, is an electrical cable that connects the distributor, ignition coil, or magneto to each of the spark plugs in an internal combustion engine. Its purpose is to deliver high voltage electricity from the ignition system to the spark plugs located in each cylinder of the engine. The 4099729 Ignition Cable is a specific part number for a cable used in a truck's ignition system. It must be constructed with durable materials and have proper insulation to withstand high temperatures and prevent electrical interference. A faulty or worn out ignition cable can cause misfires and poor engine performance.
