DESCRIPTION
A spark plug is a vital component in the ignition system of an internal combustion engine. It is responsible for creating the spark that ignites the fuel mixture in the combustion chamber, which in turn powers the engine. The spark plug consists of a threaded metal shell, which screws into the cylinder head, and a center electrode that protrudes into the combustion chamber. When high voltage electricity is supplied to the center electrode, it jumps across a gap to an outer electrode on the shell, creating a spark that ignites the fuel mixture. Spark plugs must be replaced periodically to ensure proper engine performance and fuel efficiency. Part number 5368406 refers specifically to one type of spark plug and may vary depending on make and model of vehicle.
