DESCRIPTION
The idle spring plunger, also known as the idle speed control plunger, is a small component found in fuel-injected engines. It is responsible for regulating the engine's idle speed by controlling the amount of air that flows into the intake manifold. The idle spring plunger works by pressing against a valve that opens or closes to adjust the airflow. When the engine is cold, the plunger restricts airflow to increase engine RPM until it reaches operating temperature. Conversely, when the engine is hot, it allows more air to flow through to decrease RPM and prevent stalling. The 141624 Idle spring plunger is a specific part number for this component and should be used as a replacement part for proper engine performance.
