DESCRIPTION
The Idler Bore Reamer Stop, also known as part number 3823068, is a component found in some heavy-duty trucks. It is used during the assembly process to ensure that the idler bore of the engine block is properly aligned and reamed to the correct size. The stop attaches to the engine block and prevents the reamer from going too far into the bore, which could cause damage or result in an improperly sized hole. Once the reaming process is complete, the stop can be removed and further assembly of the engine can proceed. This small but crucial component helps ensure that engine components fit together properly and function correctly once installed.
