DESCRIPTION
The Injector Stop Solenoid Valve, also known as ISSV, is a crucial component in a diesel engine's fuel system. It is responsible for controlling the flow of fuel to the injector nozzle by opening and closing the fuel supply line. The solenoid valve receives electrical signals from the engine control unit (ECU) to regulate fuel delivery and shut off the engine when necessary. The ISSV helps prevent over-speeding of the engine and aids in starting by allowing only air into the combustion chamber during cranking. A faulty ISSV can lead to poor engine performance, rough idling, or stalling.
