DESCRIPTION
The Starting Switch (part number 3922457) is a component of a truck's electrical system that controls the starter motor. When the key is turned, the starting switch sends an electrical current to the solenoid, which in turn engages the starter motor and cranks the engine. The starting switch is typically located on or near the steering column and may also control other functions such as the ignition system and accessories. A malfunctioning starting switch can prevent a truck from starting or cause intermittent starting problems.
