DESCRIPTION
A pressure switch is a component in a truck's engine that monitors the oil pressure in the system. The 3974640 Pressure Switch is specifically designed for Cummins engines and is responsible for activating warning lights on the dashboard if oil pressure drops below a certain threshold. This switch works by opening or closing an electrical circuit based on changes in oil pressure, allowing the engine control module to adjust performance accordingly.
