DESCRIPTION
A Pressure Temperature Sensor, also known as a P/T Sensor, is an electronic component used in trucks to measure the pressure and temperature of various fluids. The sensor typically consists of a small unit with two probes that are inserted into the fluid being measured. The pressure probe measures the amount of pressure in the fluid while the temperature probe measures the temperature. This information is then relayed to the vehicle's onboard computer which uses it to adjust various settings such as fuel injection and transmission shifting. One common application for this sensor is in diesel engines where it helps to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce emissions by adjusting fuel injection based on real-time data from the P/T Sensor.
