DESCRIPTION
The thermostat housing is a component in the engine cooling system of a truck. It is responsible for holding the thermostat and connecting it to the engine block. The housing is typically made of aluminum or plastic and sits atop the engine near the water pump. Its purpose is to contain and direct coolant flow to regulate engine temperature. The thermostat itself, which opens and closes based on temperature, is housed within this part.
