DESCRIPTION
A thermostat is a component found in the engine of a truck that controls the flow of coolant through the engine block. It is typically located at the top of the engine and works by opening and closing to regulate the temperature inside the engine. When the engine is cold, it remains closed, allowing coolant to circulate around the engine block until it reaches operating temperature. Once this temperature is reached, the thermostat opens up, allowing more coolant to flow through and cool down the engine as needed. The part number for this specific thermostat is 3420884.
