DESCRIPTION
A thermostat is a component of a truck's engine cooling system that regulates the temperature of the engine by controlling the flow of coolant. The 3972071 model is designed specifically for certain types of trucks and functions by opening and closing based on the temperature of the coolant. When the engine is cold, the thermostat remains closed, allowing coolant to circulate within the engine block until it reaches a predetermined temperature. Once this temperature is reached, the thermostat opens, allowing coolant to flow through to cool down the engine. This process helps prevent overheating and excessive wear on truck engines.
