A thermostat is a component in a truck's cooling system that regulates the temperature of the engine by controlling the flow of coolant. The part number 4014541 is a specific model of thermostat designed for use in certain types of trucks. When the engine is cold, the thermostat remains closed, preventing coolant from circulating between the engine and radiator. As the engine warms up, however, the thermostat gradually begins to open, allowing coolant to flow through and cool down the engine.
