DESCRIPTION
A Thermostat (part number: 4085995) is a component of a truck's cooling system that helps regulate the engine's temperature. The thermostat is typically located between the engine and the radiator, and it works by opening and closing to control the flow of coolant through the system. When the engine is cold, the thermostat remains closed, keeping coolant in the engine so that it can warm up faster. Once the engine reaches its operating temperature, however, the thermostat opens up to allow coolant to flow through and cool down the engine as needed. Without a functioning thermostat, a truck's engine may overheat or take too long to warm up properly, leading to reduced performance and potential damage.
