DESCRIPTION
The Thermostat Housing Gasket, also known as the Thermostat Gasket or Coolant Outlet Gasket, is a small but important component located between the engine block and the thermostat housing. Its main purpose is to prevent coolant leaks by creating a seal between these two parts. The gasket is made of a heat-resistant material, usually rubber or silicone, that can withstand high temperatures and pressure. Over time, this gasket can become worn or damaged, leading to coolant leaks that can cause engine overheating and other problems. It's important to replace the thermostat housing gasket if any signs of wear or damage are present to ensure proper engine function and avoid costly repairs down the line.
