DESCRIPTION
A Threaded Insert, also known as a threaded bushing, is a metal component used to create threads in materials that are not strong enough to hold threads on their own. The Threaded Insert is designed with external threads so it can be screwed into the material, and internal threads to accept screws or bolts. The 2894638 Threaded Insert is commonly used in trucks for reinforcing and repairing damaged or stripped out threaded holes in engine blocks, cylinder heads, transmission housings, and other metal parts. It provides a strong and long-lasting thread that can withstand high torque and vibration without loosening or stripping out.
