DESCRIPTION
A Threaded Insert, also known as a threaded bushing or threaded tube, is a component used to add threads to a material that cannot support them on its own. The Insert is typically made of metal and has internal threads that match the size and pitch of the desired external thread. The Insert is inserted into a pre-drilled hole in the material and then secured in place using an adhesive or by crimping the edges of the hole around it. Once installed, the Insert provides a strong and reliable anchor point for bolts or screws to fasten into.
