DESCRIPTION
The throttle lever, also known as an accelerator pedal, is a component located in the driver's compartment of a truck. Its main function is to control the amount of fuel and air that enters the engine's combustion chamber. The lever is connected to a cable that runs down to the engine and controls the throttle plate. When pressed down, it opens up the throttle plate allowing more fuel and air into the engine resulting in an increase in speed. Part number 3897166 refers specifically to this component for certain makes and models of trucks.
