DESCRIPTION
The Throttle Valve, also known as the throttle body, is an essential component of the engine's air intake system found in trucks. Its primary function is to regulate and control the amount of air that enters the engine. The throttle valve works by opening and closing a butterfly valve located inside the housing. Upon pressing on the accelerator pedal, a cable or electronic signal sends a command to open or close the valve depending on how much power is needed. The Throttle Valve plays a crucial role in maintaining proper fuel economy and engine performance. It is typically made of aluminum or plastic materials and can be found mounted on top of the intake manifold.
