DESCRIPTION
The Manifold Pressure Tube, also known as the MAP sensor hose, is a component in the engine management system of a truck. It connects the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor to the intake manifold and is responsible for transmitting pressure readings from the intake manifold to the engine control module (ECM). The ECM uses this information to adjust fuel injection timing and air-fuel ratio for optimal engine performance. A faulty Manifold Pressure Tube can cause poor fuel economy, rough idling, and decreased power output. It is important to ensure that this component is properly installed and functioning correctly in order for a truck's engine to run efficiently.
