DESCRIPTION
The Manifold Pressure Tube, also known as the MAP sensor tube, is a vital component in the engine management system of a truck. It is responsible for measuring the pressure inside the intake manifold and transmitting that information to the engine control module (ECM) or powertrain control module (PCM). The ECM/PCM uses this information to adjust fuel injection timing and air/fuel mixture to optimize engine performance and reduce emissions. The Manifold Pressure Tube is made of durable materials that can withstand high temperatures and pressures without deforming or cracking. Its accurate readings are crucial for maintaining optimal engine efficiency, power output, and fuel economy.
