DESCRIPTION
The Manifold Pressure Tube, also known as the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor Tube, is a critical component of an engine's fuel delivery system. This tube connects to the intake manifold and carries pressurized air into the MAP sensor, which measures the amount of air entering the engine. This information is then sent to the engine control module (ECM), which uses it to calculate the correct amount of fuel needed for optimal performance. The part number for this tube is 3253718 and it is commonly found in diesel truck engines. A damaged or malfunctioning Manifold Pressure Tube can cause poor fuel economy, reduced power output, and even engine damage if not addressed promptly.
