DESCRIPTION
A breather tube is a component of a truck's engine ventilation system. It is responsible for allowing fresh air to enter the crankcase, while also removing excess pressure and vapors from the engine. The breather tube works by connecting the crankcase to an external air intake, typically located near the top of the engine compartment. As the engine runs, it generates positive pressure within the crankcase. This pressure is relieved through the breather tube, which allows fresh air to enter and replace the displaced gases. The 4996224 breather tube is a specific part number used in certain models of trucks and may differ in design or size from other breather tubes.
