DESCRIPTION
A pressure sensing tube is a component in a truck's air brake system that measures the pressure of the air inside the brake chamber. This information is transmitted to the truck's electronic control module, which uses it to determine when to apply or release the brakes. The pressure sensing tube consists of a small, hollow metal tube that runs from the brake chamber to the electronic control module. As air pressure changes within the brake chamber, it causes corresponding changes in pressure within the sensing tube, which are detected by sensors within the electronic control module. Proper functioning of this component is crucial for safe and effective operation of a truck's braking system.
