DESCRIPTION
The Breather Tube, also known as a crankcase breather tube, is an essential component in the engine ventilation system of a truck. Its primary function is to regulate the pressure within the engine and prevent oil leaks by allowing air to escape from the crankcase. The Breather Tube comprises a plastic or rubber hose that connects the valve cover to the air cleaner housing, and may also include a filter element to trap oil mist before it enters the intake manifold. Over time, the Breather Tube can become clogged with debris and require replacement. A faulty breather tube can cause excessive oil consumption and lead to engine damage if left unrepaired.
