DESCRIPTION
The Turbocharger Thrust Bearing, also known as Part Number 3531419, is a component that is essential to the proper functioning of a turbocharger. It is designed to support the axial load generated by the impeller wheel and compressor wheel assembly. The thrust bearing consists of a set of flat pads that are positioned between two metal surfaces. These pads are lubricated with oil to reduce friction and wear. As the impeller wheel rotates, it generates thrust which is absorbed by the thrust bearing, allowing it to spin freely. Without this component, the turbocharger would be unable to function correctly, resulting in reduced performance and efficiency.
