DESCRIPTION
A heat exchanger is a device used to transfer heat from one medium to another. In the case of a turbocharger, the 40W heat exchanger (part number 4089928RX) is responsible for cooling down the compressed air produced by the turbocharger before it enters the engine. This is important because compressed air can become very hot and cause damage to engine components if not properly cooled. The heat exchanger uses a series of fins and tubes to transfer heat from the compressed air to a coolant that flows through it. This cools down the compressed air before it enters the engine, improving its efficiency and reducing wear on engine components over time.
