DESCRIPTION
The Turbocharger Actuator Kit, also known as part number 5496047RX, is a component of the truck's turbocharging system. This kit includes an actuator that controls the amount of boost pressure generated by the turbocharger. The actuator responds to signals from the engine control module (ECM) to adjust the position of the wastegate valve, which regulates exhaust gas flow and controls turbo boost pressure. A malfunctioning actuator can cause a loss of power and decreased fuel efficiency.
