A Turbocharger Kit, also known as a forced induction system, is a performance part that increases the power and efficiency of an internal combustion engine. The kit consists of a turbocharger, intercooler, exhaust manifold, wastegate and other necessary components. The turbocharger compresses the air going into the engine to increase its density and oxygen content, which allows for more fuel to be burned during combustion. This results in increased horsepower and torque output. The intercooler cools down the compressed air before it enters the engine to prevent detonation and damage to engine components. The exhaust manifold directs exhaust gases into the turbocharger turbine to spin it up to speed. Finally, the wastegate regulates boost pressure by diverting excess exhaust gas away from the turbine when necessary.
