DESCRIPTION
A Turbocharger Kit, also known as a turbo kit, is an aftermarket upgrade for a truck engine that increases horsepower and torque. The kit typically includes a turbocharger, wastegate, intercooler, piping and fittings necessary for installation. The turbocharger compresses air intake into the engine which allows it to burn more fuel and produce more power. The wastegate regulates the amount of boost pressure produced by the turbocharger to prevent damage to the engine. An intercooler cools the compressed air before it enters the engine for improved efficiency. Turbo kits are popular among truck enthusiasts who want to improve performance without having to replace their entire engine.
