DESCRIPTION
A Turbocharger Kit, identified by Part Number 5327373RX, is an aftermarket upgrade for a truck's engine that increases its power output. The kit includes a turbocharger assembly with intercooler and all necessary installation hardware. The turbocharger uses exhaust gas to spin a turbine, which then compresses incoming air and forces it into the engine at higher pressures than atmospheric pressure. This increased air flow allows for more fuel to be burned in the combustion process, resulting in increased horsepower and torque output. The intercooler helps reduce the temperature of the compressed air before it enters the engine, further increasing its density and power output. A Turbocharger Kit is a popular upgrade for diesel engines as they typically have lower compression ratios than gasoline engines and benefit greatly from forced induction.
