DESCRIPTION
A float valve, also known as a needle valve or fuel inlet valve, is an essential component in the carburetor of a truck engine. The float valve regulates the flow of fuel from the fuel tank to the carburetor by controlling the level of gasoline in the float bowl. When gasoline levels drop below a certain threshold, the float valve opens up and allows more fuel to enter into the bowl. Conversely, when gasoline levels rise too high, the float valve closes off to prevent overflow and waste. Proper operation of this component is critical for efficient engine performance and avoiding engine flooding or stalling. Part number 201022 refers to a specific type or model of float valve that may be used in different truck makes and models.
