DESCRIPTION
The Bypass Valve (part number 3013956) is a component of the engine's lubrication system in a truck. It is responsible for regulating the flow of oil through the system by diverting excess oil back to the oil pan during times of high pressure. This helps to prevent damage to other parts of the engine, such as seals and gaskets, that could be caused by excessive pressure. The bypass valve works by opening up a pathway for the oil to flow around the filter element when it becomes clogged or dirty, ensuring that there is always enough clean oil circulating through the engine. Without this component, there could be serious consequences for both engine performance and longevity.
